48th Annual Patrons Ball
48TH ANNUAL PATRONS BALL. This elegant black-tie affair features dining in the museum's galleries, a ballot box fundraiser, and upbeat live music. Patrons from near and far gather to renew friendships, network with leaders of industry and government, and make new acquaintances. Immersed in Western art, culture, and the history of the West, this event allows patrons to enjoy conversation, cocktails, and dancing! Cost is $450 per ticket with Table Sponsorships available. Reservations required.

Quick Draw and Silent Auction with Brunch
QUICK DRAW AND SILENT AUCTION WITH BRUNCH. Watch 30+ artists of the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale create a piece of art in 90 minutes. The unique pieces will then be auctioned on the runway while you enjoy a Champagne Brunch crafted by caterer, Basil and Bloom. Located in the party tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Cost $65, open seating. Reservations required.

44th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale
Join us for cocktails in the party tent at 5:30pm and be seated for dinner by 6pm for the 44th ANNUAL BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE. Join Troy Black and Associates for this riveting and fast-paced live auction of original Western art while enjoying the distinguished menu stylings Basil and Bloom. By Western Hands Workshop - The Art of Hands Stitching
THE ART OF HAND STITCHING. Master the art of hand stitching in this workshop focused on the traditional two-needle and awl technique. Learn to choose the right thread, when to wax, and how different needles—Saddle, Harness, and Glover—serve unique purposes. With a focus on precision awl work, this class enhances craftsmanship for beginners and experts alike. Cost $125. Registration required.

By Western Hands Workshop - Alaskan Inspired Leather Mitts
ALASKAN INSPIRED LEATHER MITTS. Join us for a creative journey inspired by the handcrafted mitts of Native American tradition. In this two-day workshop, you’ll hand-sew your own custom pair using authentic materials like buffalo leather, vintage Army blankets, shearling hides, beaver trim, sinew, and glass beads. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned beadworker, you’ll find patterns and techniques to match your skill level. Cost $275. Registration required. 1007 12th St.

By Western Hands Workshop - Discover Leather Working
DISCOVER LEATHER WORKING Learn the art of leathercraft in this flexible, self-paced class! Explore cutting, stitching, pattern making, and more. Start a pouch, purse, repair, or custom project — we’ll plan it together before class. All tools, supplies & some leather included. Whether you’re a beginner or building skills, this is your chance to create something beautiful at your own pace. Limited to 6 participants. Cost $195. Registration required.

Artisan Meet and Greet at By Western Hands
ARTISAN MEET & GREET – Stop by the gallery throughout the day to meet and talk with artisans. Artisans will be in attendance and available all day from 10am to 8pm.

Colorful Canvases
Colorful Canvases with scratchboard artist, Sally Maxwell, Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artist. This educational workshop includes a light breakfast, lunch, materials, instruction, and fellowship with Maxwell. Cost $140, limited participation. Registration required.

By Western Hands Workshop - Ojibwe Scissor Case
OJIBWE BEADED SCISSOR CASE Join Supaya Gray Wolfe for a two-day, hands-on beading workshop, where you’ll create a timeless keepsake. Learn multiple beading techniques as you craft a unique piece from aged buffalo hide, vintage print fabric, sinew, and intricate glass beadwork. Each participant receives vintage-style stainless steel sewing shears to continue their craft. Cost $275. Registration required.

Painting on the Porch
PAINTING ON THE PORCH with Michael Ome Untiedt, Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artist. This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop includes breakfast, lunch, instruction, and fellowship with Untiedt. 43rd Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale
Join auctioneers Black and Associates for this riveting and fast paced Live Auction of original Western art! Enjoy our 100+ artists’ broad range of stylistic interpretations of the American West in mediums such as oil, watercolor, pastel and sculpture.
Visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West beginning August 16th to preview all the artwork available in the sale. You can also view our Live Auction Gallery online (available mid June).
Doors open at 5PM. Browse our Buy-It-Now works donated by BBAS artists and enjoy cocktails and conversation prior to our buffet-style dinner catered by Bravo! Catering. Our Live Auction event will begin at 6:30PM.

Supaya Gray Wolfe Workshop: Create Your Own Beaded Buffalo Hide Horse or Old Style Buffalo Doll
Join By Western Hands artisan Supaya Gray Wolfe to create a beaded buffalo hide horse or old style buffalo doll!
Create your own beaded buffalo hide horse or old Style buffalo doll. Participants will assemble, bead and decorate a buffalo hide horse or doll. Material provided will be split buffalo hide, buffalo and horse hair, aged trade cloth, glass and trade beads as well as turquoise. All day class, participants may finish early. Refreshments included.
Supaya, a Native American Beadworker, is instructing this step by step class teaching the methods and techniques to make a horse. Each horse can honor a particular horse close to your heart. Participants are encouraged to bring your own horse hair, and something special to place where the heart is to make it special. Participants that wish to honor a horse are asked to send a picture so Supaya is able to gather leather close to the color of the horse.
Materials to be used: Buffalo hide, Sinew, Horse hair, Glass and Brass Beads, Sweet Grass, Sage, Turquoise, Ghost beads.

Leather Restoration Class With John Blair - By Western Hands
Join By Western Hands artisan John Blair to learn how to restore leather treasures.
Do you have a leather item that needs some TLC? A purse, boots, belts, jackets or anything in between. John will be teaching a lesson on the “How To’s” of restoring these items to their natural beauty. Attendees are allowed to bring up to two (2) items that need to be restored. This class will not cover saddles, exotic leathers or suede so please do not bring those items. Treatment items will be sent home with each participant for future use.

Play in the Clay w/ LaQuincey Reed - A Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Event
Join LaQuincey Reed, a Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artist for Play in the Clay! This educational class provides beginner to advanced sculptors personalized instruction and fellowship with a returning BBAS Artist.

Join Charlie Hunter, a Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale Artist for Painting on the Porch! This workshop provides intermediate to advanced painters with personalized instruction and fellowship.
Workshop includes breakfast, lunch and instruction. Materials are the responsibility of participant. Workshop times are: Monday and Tuesday 9AM-4PM and Wednesday 9AM-1PM.
