Colorful Canvases - Buffalo Bill Art Show
Join Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale scratchboard artist, Sally Maxwell, for Colorful Canvases! This educational class provides beginner to advanced artists personalized instruction and fellowship with returning BBAS artist, Sally Maxwell.
Sally has been working in Scratchboard for over 58 years, 53 of those using color in the medium. The International Society of Scratchboard Artists as well as the American Women Artists have recognized her as a Master. She is also a Signature member of the Society of Animal Artists. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of AWA in 2024. She has won numerous awards in multiple Museum and juried art shows nationally. Recently she won the Award of Excellence in the AWA annual show, and was the highest priced bid at BBAS for “Nuance” in 2024. Through her close association with Ampersand Art Materials, she has taught a generation of artists how to use the medium. Currently her artwork was featured in the Society of Animal Artists show in 2024 and will be again in 2025. She will be shown in the annual juried show with AWA for 2025 as well. She was shown in the Briscoe Museum’s show “Night of Artists” this year. Once you have seen her work up close, you will never forget it.
Reservations Required. Cost $140, limited to first 20 registrants. Cody Country Art League Classroom 836 Sheridan Avenue. Class includes instruction, materials, light breakfast and lunch.
