49th Annual Patrons Ball
This elegant black-tie affair features dining in two of the Center’s galleries, a local whiskey, beer and cigar lounge in a third gallery, as well as a silent auction fundraiser featuring items from local artists and entrepreneurs. Patrons from near and far gather to renew friendships, network with leaders of industry and government, and make new acquaintances. Immersed in Western art, culture, and history, this event allows patrons to enjoy conversation, cuisine, and cocktails while dancing the night away! Sewing Roll Workshop
Join us for a creative hands-on workshop where you will design and stitch your own signature needle book! Whether you are a seasoned pro or picking up a needle for the first time, this class offers a relaxing and social environment to create something both beautiful and functional. Cost $175, limited participation. Registration required. 1007 12th St.
Quick Draw and Silent Auction with Brunch
QUICK DRAW AND SILENT AUCTION WITH BRUNCH. Watch 30+ artists of the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale create a piece of art in 90 minutes. The unique pieces will then be auctioned on the runway while you enjoy a champagne brunch crafted by caterer Basil and Bloom. Located in the party tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Cost $65, open seating. Reservations (required) open June 15th.
45th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show and Sale
Join us for cocktails in the party tent at 5:30pm and be seated for dinner by 6pm for the 45th ANNUAL BUFFALO BILL ART SHOW & SALE. Join Troy Black and Associates for this riveting and fast-paced live auction of original Western art while enjoying the distinguished menu stylings of Basil and Bloom. Absentee bidding arrangements are also available. Cost $275/300, assigned seating. Reservations required.
Leather Knife Sheath Workshop
LEATHER KNIFE SHEATH WORKSHOP. Design and craft your own custom knife sheath in this hands-on class. You’ll learn how to select the right leather, properly case it, and shape it to fit your knife. While basic hand-stitching skills are helpful, they are not required. Please bring one fixed-blade knife no longer than 10 inches in total length (blade plus handle). Participants will have the option to choose from two different sheath styles. Cost $150, limited participation. Registration is required.

DISCOVER LEATHER WORKING Learn the art of leathercraft in this flexible, self-paced class! Explore cutting, stitching, pattern making, and more. Start a pouch, purse, repair, or custom project — we’ll plan it together before class. All tools, supplies & some leather included. Whether you’re a beginner or building skills, this is your chance to create something beautiful at your own pace. Cost $195, limited participation. Registration (required) opens June 15th.
Artisan Meet and Greet
Stop by the gallery throughout the day to meet and talk with artisans. Artisans will be in attendance and available all day.
Colorful Canvases (Workshop)
COLORFUL CANVASES with Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale dye-on-silk artist, Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey. This educational workshop includes lunch, materials, instruction, and fellowship with Cawdrey. Cost $140, limited participation. Registration required.
Historic Iroquois Beaded Picture Frame
HISTORIC IROQUOIS BEADED PICTURE FRAME Join Supaya Gray Wolfe for a two-day, hands-on beading workshop, where you’ll create a timeless keepsake. Learn multiple beading techniques as you craft a unique piece from aged buffalo hide, vintage print fabric, sinew, and intricate glass beadwork. Prerequisite: To maintain the pace of the curriculum, this class is strictly curated for experienced bead-workers only. Cost $350, limited participation. Registration is required.

Painting on the Porch
PAINTING ON THE PORCH with Kimball Geisler, Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artist. This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop includes lunch, instruction, and fellowship with Geisler. Artwork Exhibitions
Open to the public at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West everyday from 9am-5pm. Gallery closes and art starts moving to the party tent at 3pm on Friday, September 18th.

THE ART OF HAND STITCHING. Master the art of hand stitching in this workshop focused on the traditional two-needle and awl technique. Learn to choose the right thread, when to wax, and how different needles—Saddle, Harness, and Glover—serve unique purposes. With a focus on precision awl work, this class enhances craftsmanship for beginners and experts alike. Cost $125. Registration required.

ALASKAN INSPIRED LEATHER MITTS. Join us for a creative journey inspired by the handcrafted mitts of Native American tradition. In this two-day workshop, you’ll hand-sew your own custom pair using authentic materials like buffalo leather, vintage Army blankets, shearling hides, beaver trim, sinew, and glass beads.
