Join Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale artist, Kimball Geisler, for Painting on the Porch! This two-and-a-half-day educational workshop provides intermediate to advanced painters personalized instruction and fellowship with returning Buffalo Bill Art Show artist, Kimball Geisler.
Kimball Geisler is a landscape painter whose work seeks to capture the authentic nuance he finds in nature, especially by means of travel and on location study. With this he strives for a level of fidelity to his subject that can’t be achieved otherwise.
Since he started painting professionally in 2016, Kimball has enjoyed consistent sales and recognition for his work; being featured in prominent publications, magazines, and podcasts. He’s earned awards through various painting competitions and shows, including the Grand Prize for the annual Plein Air Salon for 2022. His first piece was auctioned in the Buffalo Bill Art Auction in 2024. Today Kimball lives in Rexburg, Idaho, with his wife and two children where he enjoys the rich mountain terrain that Idaho has to offer.
Workshop includes breakfast, lunch, and instruction. Materials are the responsibility of participant. A detailed packet will be sent to participants in September, to include location, lodging options, materials list and more.

Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey is a master of the rare and demanding medium of silk painting and a founding member of the prestigious Russell Skull Society of Artists. Known for her vibrant palette and fluid, energetic precision, Nancy navigates the flow of French dyes on crepe de chine to create technical masterpieces that redefine Western contemporary art. A past recipient of the Buffalo Bill Art Show People’s Choice Award, her work is held in the permanent collections of the C.M. Russell Museum and the Glacier Museum of Art. Nancy’s signature style—blending ancient Eastern technique with the untamed spirit of the West—remains a cornerstone of the American West’s most respected auctions and galleries.

Design and craft your own custom knife sheath in this hands-on class. You’ll learn how to select the right leather, properly case it, and shape it to fit your knife. While basic hand-stitching skills are helpful, they are not required. Please bring one fixed-blade knife no longer than 10 inches in total length (blade plus handle). Participants will have the option to choose from two different sheath styles.
