Tobias Sauer

Toby Sauer was born and raised in the exact center of Montana. Though the son of two teachers, he worked as a ranch hand and dreamed of the cowboy life. After studying environmental science and working as a Yellowstone Park Ranger and in the oil fields, a devastating injury ended his career and led him back to drawing. With the support of his wife, Andrea, he rebuilt his life through art. In 2018, he became a full-time painter, capturing the grit, beauty, and spirit of the American West while traveling, studying, and exhibiting across the region.
