Don Weller

Painting cowboys has led to many adventures on horseback, in college rodeos and later horse contests, and on ranches. Images created along the way are the scattered tracks on that lifelong path and are collected in a visual memoir: Don Weller Tracks. It won the 2020 Western Heritage Award from The National Cowboy Museum. In 2019, he was surprised with an honorary doctorate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
