Ralph Oberg
Ralph Oberg has lived his entire 73 year life in Colorado, New Mexico and Montana. He travels extensively painting plein air studies and returns to his studio for his award winning larger works, including: The 2020 Wilson Hurley Memorial for Landscape at Prix de West, the 2019 Briscoe Museum’s Purchase Award at Night of Artists, the 2014 California Art Club’s Gold Medal, and the 2012 National Museum of Wildlife Arts’ Trustees Purchase Award. He has participated in the BBAS for 40 years and has received the 2015 Wells Fargo Gold Award, the 2001 and 2002 Painting Awards, the 1992 and 1996 Juror’s Choice Awards, and the 1988 William Weiss Purchase Award for the Whitney Gallery’s permanent Collection at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. He was invited with 10 other artists to the October 2023 6th Biennial Woolaroc Retrospective Art Show. He will also participate in the final Woolaroc Show in October 2025.
