David Dibble
David Dibble (b.’77) was raised on a farm in Davis County, Utah, where he was influenced by the landscape from an early age. He studied Illustration at Brigham Young University (BFA, ’03) and began landscape painting in earnest in graduate school at the Academy of Art University (MFA, ’08). Following the Academy he worked as a color artist for Blue Sky Animation Studios (20th Century Fox), creating Concept Design for such films as Rio, Epic, Ice Age 4, Peanuts, and Ferdinand. His time in the film industry led to six years as an associate professor of illustration at Brigham Young University followed by a launch into full time painting. David and his family reside in Orem, Utah, where he paints and teaches workshops nationally. He continues to be sought after as a concept environment artist and a gallery painter. His gallery work, focusing largely on agricultural themes, can be found in private collections and museums internationally.
