Sally Maxwell

Sally has been working in Scratchboard for over 59 years, 54 of those using color in the medium. The International Society of Scratchboard Artists as well as the American Women Artists have recognized her as a Master. She is also a Signature member of the Society of Animal Artists. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of AWA in 2024. She has won numerous awards including the Award of Excellence in the AWA annual show, People’s Choice at the BBAS for “Nuance” in 2024. Award of Distinction, 2025 American Women Artists Museum show, Distinguished Artist concept in Animal Award 2026 American Women Artists. 6-page article in “Art of the West” Magazine, May/June issue. Once you have seen her work up close, you will never forget it.
