Robert Martinez
Robert Martinez, born in Riverton, Wyoming, draws inspiration from his Chicano and Northern Arapaho heritage. He graduated with honors from the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design at 19, among its youngest graduates. Rooted in life on the Wind River Reservation, his work blends Western history with contemporary issues through bold color and high-contrast imagery. His art has been exhibited nationally and is held in the permanent collections of the Wyoming State Museum, The Brinton, the Bill Cody Center of the West, and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. A Wyoming Governor’s Art Award recipient, he serves on the Wyoming Arts Council and remains committed to mentoring and education and arts advocacy.
