Vic Payne

For over 45 years, renowned sculptor Vic Payne has captivated audiences with his innovative western sculptures, telling the stories of the American West.  His meticulous attention to detail and dynamic compositions have earned him national and international acclaim.  Since 1978, Vic has envisioned creating a bronze sculpture of the iconic gunfight at the O.K. Corral.  Only now, with decades of experience and refined skill, does he feel ready to depict this historical moment with the depth and authenticity it deserves.  His studio, located in the historic, newly restored Meeteetse Mercantile building, serves as a testament to his dedication and passion for preserving the spirit of the West.
