David Dibble

David Dibble (b.’77) was raised on a farm in Davis County, Utah, where he was influenced by the landscape from an early age. He studied Illustration at Brigham Young University (BFA, ’03) and began landscape painting in earnest in graduate school at the Academy of Art University (MFA, ’08). Following the Academy he worked as a color artist for Blue Sky Animation Studios (20th Century Fox), and color consultant for studios such as Disney and Netflix. His time in the film industry led to six years as an associate professor of illustration and landscape painting at Brigham Young University followed by a launch into full time gallery painting.

David is sought after as a concept artist, teacher, and a gallery painter. His gallery work, focusing largely on agricultural themes, can be found in private collections and museums internationally. David was the Artist Spotlight in Western Art & Architecture magazine in the April/May 2024 issue and has recently won first place in the Springville Spring Salon in Springville, Utah.
