A fourth-generation Wyomingite, Scott Armstrong started learning his craft at the Kansas City Art Institute in the late 1970s and continued in various shops and positions in the furniture industry. He returned to Wyoming in 1992 to open his own shop. His design style  ranges from traditional to contemporary. He continuously works to improve his designs and craftsmanship to better reflect personal and family history. Wood is his chosen medium because of its beautiful, warm, endlessly varied character, and because it is readily  available and it can be worked with simple tools. In every piece he crafts, Scott strives to blend his western heritage and contemporary sensibility with the timeless traditions and dramatic landscapes of northwest Wyoming.
