Deborah Copenhaver Fellows

Deborah Copenhaver Fellows is a horsewoman, raised on a cattle ranch in northern Idaho. She earned a BA in Fine Art following study in Italy. In the post-Vietnam ear, she won competitions to create veteran memorials plus the Washington State Korean Memorial. Her commissioned monuments include Bing Crosby, James Irvine, Boy Scouts of America, Henry Kaiser and Benny Binion. In 2008, she was inducted into the National Sculpture Society, and in 2009, the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame for her notable body of work. In 2015, the State of Arizona commissioned her to sculpt Barry Goldwater for the US Capitol. She also sculpted Jim Bowie in 2017 for the Alamo. In addition to her gallery work, she is currently sculpting a memorial to the Granite Mountain Hotshots who were lost in the Yarnell Arizona wildfire.
