September worked as an architect before transitioning to her painting career. Among many influences, the paintings of her great-grandfather Guzton Borglum, the sculptor of Mount Rushmore, were important in her development as an artist. Vhay’s understanding of structure, composition, and light give her paintings a sense of three dimensional form. Her talent with watercolor brings a unique freshness to her work in oils. Her works have been shown and documented in many prestigious exhibits and publications. She currently resides in Jackson Hole.
