A sixth-generation Coloradoan, Duke Beardsley has been drawing and painting images of the American West as long as he can remember. His unique blend of modern art styling and traditional western iconography has made him a favorite among fans of contemporary western American art. His work is collected worldwide and can be found in such notable collections as the Forbes Collection, the Denver Art Museum, The Booth Museum, The Forbes Collection, the State of Colorado and the Whitney Western Art Museum at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. In 2013, Duke was honored as the select artist for the Calgary Stampede poster. Duke was awarded the 2008 Colorado Governor’s Arts Award for Colorado Horsepower. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Denver.
