Registration materials for the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale are distributed at the following location 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20– Friday, September 23. (After 5:00pm on September 23 you may pick up materials at the Party Tent.)

Wednesday, August 24

6 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale - “Opening Reception for the Live & Silent Auction along with the Scout’s Miniature Show & Sale” (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

Saturday, September 17

8 AM – 5 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Exhibition” (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

1 PM – 7 PM Boot Scoot’n Boogie (Sheridan Avenue) Free to the public. Street dance to follow in front of Irma Hotel.

Monday, September 19

8 AM – 5 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Exhibition” (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

ALL DAY Workshop with John Gallis (Norseman Designs West, 3532 Cottonwood) “Molesworth influenced” hall mirror frame. Applied juniper poles with carved wood corner blocking. In this 2-day class students will assemble, glue, sand, and route their own frames. The four corner accent blocks will be carved and painted. All materials will be provided. Limited to 12 students. All levels of experience are welcome. Reservations required. Lunch Included. $600.

9 AM – 4 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Cody, Wyoming! Paint the Town!” Featuring Michele Usibelli, Buffalo Bill Art Show Artist. Take a tour of Cody with the artist and archivist from Park County to view interesting and significant architecture here in Cody, and then paint it. The historic one hundred and two year old Salsbury Avenue Inn will be “painting central” for the two-and-a-half day workshop. The class is limited to 10. This workshop includes instruction and fellowship with Michele and other artists, as well as, special gifts, and a wine pairing with excellent food. All levels of experience are welcome. Registration is required. $375.

10 AM – 6 PM By Western Hands – “2016 Invitational Design Exhibition” (Exhibition Tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

10:30 AM – 1 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Colorful Canvases with John Potter” (Buffalo Jump Winery, 1326 Beck Avenue) This is an exclusive opportunity to learn from very popular Buffalo Bill Art Show Artist John Potter the ins and outs of painting for Quick Draw! Class is limited to 30 participants. The class fee includes instruction and materials for the piece, such as paint, canvas, and brushes. A light lunch and special gift are included. All levels of experience are welcome. Registration is required. $135.

12:30 PM – 2 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – Lunch & Lecture with Ann Simpson “Let’s talk about the state of the arts” (Cody Club Room, 1240 Beck Avenue) Ann Simpson, longtime patron and steward of the arts will discuss her passion for the arts and how very important they are, as to who we are, in our world. Her inspirational talk will energize patrons to nurture the arts around the globe, as well as, locally. Ann’s passion for the arts cultivated a great outreach program for the University of Wyoming Art Museum. Her popular "Ann Simpson Artmobile" launched a program to take art to rural Wyoming. Her passion as teacher has continued all her life and she is eager to share her enthusiasm for the arts. Space is limited. Registration required. Cost: $50

2 PM By Western Hands – “Roundtable Discussion: History and Future of Western Design” (Cody Club Room, 1240 Beck Avenue) Free to the public. Join By Western Hands artisans and supporters in a panel discussion on the history of Western design and where it is heading in the 21st century. Please RSVP.

5 PM – 7 PM Cody Artwalk (Sheridan Avenue) Take a stroll through Cody’s furniture, art and photography galleries in celebration of the arts.

Friday, September 23

8 AM – 5 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Exhibition” (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

9 AM – 12 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Play in the Clay with Jeff Rudolph” (Artist’s studio, 524 Ray Road.) This exciting class will be taught
by Buffalo Bill Art Show artist Jeff Rudolph in his studio here in Cody. What a treat to see the studio and create a piece of sculpture! All experience levels are welcome. Class size limited to 10. Included in price are a light lunch, studio tour, clay and carving tools. $135.

10 AM – 8 PM By Western Hands – “2016 Invitational Design Exhibition” (Exhibition Tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

2 PM – 3 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Honored Artist Lecture” (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public. You won’t want to miss this presentation, Laurie Lee – Welcome to her World of Art in the Coe Auditorium. Enjoy an hour of learning about her early art experience and her rich and wonderful life in all the arts.

4 PM – 5:30 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Last Look” (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Private party for registered guests.

6 PM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “35th Annual Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale” (Tent adjacent to Powwow Grounds, Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Tables may be purchased, reservations required. Dinner and live auction included. $175.

Saturday, September 24

9 AM Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale – “Quick Draw & Brunch” (Party Tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Open seating, reservations required. $45.

10 AM – 3 PM By Western Hands – “2016 Invitational Design Exhibition” (Exhibition Tent adjacent to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Free to the public.

6 PM Buffalo Bill Center of the West – “40th Annual Patrons Ball” Black Tie Gala (Buffalo Bill Center of the West) Celebrate the 40th Annual Patrons Ball with cocktails, dinner in the Center’s galleries, and dancing to the Silver Arrow Band. Reservations required, $350. Sponsorships are available.

All Week

Showstoppers: William E. Weiss Purchase Award Winners, 1989-2015, Now on view in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s Kriendler Gallery, Showstoppers is a retrospective exhibition of contemporary paintings and sculpture purchased for the Whitney Western Art Museum from the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale.
